Houston Ground Angels do NOT provide air transportation. Commercial carriers fly in and out of the primary airports HOU Hobby and IAH Bush.

Check with your Patient Counsellor/Social Worker or Treatment Advocate – if they can support your application for low cost/free air tickets with your planned commercial airline carrier.  American, Delta, Southwest and United all assist patients subject to certain qualifications.

The private organizations that provide low cost or free air travel to and from Houston for patients and their caregivers.  See below.

Houston Ground Angels provides ground transportation to those arriving on private planes that land at the smaller airports across the Houston Area – as well as the Hobby and Bush airports.

Patients/caregivers must enter their ride request on the website – see PATIENT – Request an RIDE.

These are some of the smaller airports that our volunteers service.

Ellington Airport ; Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport ; Sugar Land Regional ; David Wayne Hooks ; West Houston ; Houston Southwest ; Pearland Regional ; Cleveland Municipal ; Houston Executive ; Conroe-North Houston ; Baytown ; La Porte.

Where possible, Houston Ground Angels will assist with the road leg to or from the patient’s flight airport.

The brief form will take you approximately 30-60 seconds to complete. For the airline carrier, you would put one of the above flight organizations if you are flying in on them, otherwise, of course put your air carrier such as Delta or Southwest.

Dow Chemical flies out of Michigan, Louisiana and other states and offers free rides for patients. Contact information to be added soon.

Houston Metro - IAH BUSH - AIRPORT Express service

Did you know there is an IAH BUSH Express bus service ( 102 ) that provides frequent services to and from IAH BUSH Terminal C ? This limited stop direct service is to the downtown Metro Transit Center. Services run every 30 minutes in both directions from 5am to 2am (and every 15 minutes during peak time – ( 7am to 7pm ). From the Transit Center a short ride on the downtown MetroRail (Red Line) takes you to the Texas Medical Center. Depending on your (Hotel or Clinic) target address you may have a 10 minute walk or ride to your destination. You should allow around 90 minutes for the journey – the cost is $1.25 each way.
