Air Transportation - GREATER Houston Area

Houston Ground Angels do NOT provide air transportation.
Domestic and International airlines fly in and out of the two primary airports.
HOU Hobby – (13mile to the Med Center)
IAH Bush – (24m)
(one way airport drive distance – MILES from the Texas Medical Center)
Check with your Patient Counsellor/Social Worker or Treatment Advocate – if they can support your application for low cost/free air tickets with your planned commercial airline carrier. American, Delta, Southwest and United all assist patients subject to certain qualifications.
See below – there are a number of private flight “angel” organizations that provide low cost or free air travel to and from Houston for patients and their caregivers.
Houston Ground Angels provides ground transportation to those arriving on private planes that land at the smaller airports across the Houston Area – as well as the Hobby and Bush airports.
Also be advised, many of the major medical clinics have satellite hospitals providing specialist treatments around the city
Patients/caregivers must enter their ride request on the website – see PATIENT – Request an RIDE.

Patients must work with these flight groups directly – to arrange their flight details.
we strongly recommend patients make their ground ride arrangements with houston ground angels by completing our on-line form.
Where possible, Houston Ground Angels will assist with the road leg to or from the patient’s flight airport.
Here is a list of “angel” flight organizations: These ANGEL FLIGHT groups co-ordinate corporate and private patient flights.
Patients must work directly with these non-profit medical flight groups directly – then complete a Request a Ride form on our website Patient page, scrolling down some and clicking on the purple button. The brief form will take you approximately 30-60 seconds to complete. For the airline carrier, enter one of the “angel” flight organizations if you are flying in on them, otherwise, of course put your air carrier such as United, Delta or Southwest.
