ALL visitors PLEASE NOTE.
HOUSTON GROUND ANGELS ONLY OPERATE IN THE GREATER HOUSTON AREA. WE ARE NOT ACTIVE IN OTHER PARTS OF TEXAS - OR IN OTHER STATES. WE ARE A SMALL GROUP, TRYING TO HELP PATIENT TRAVELLERS IN AND OUT OF HOUSTON's CRITICAL CARE MEDICAL FACILITIES.
January 20th - 23rd. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.
The Houston area is expecting a significant winter weather event. Both main airports (Bush and Hobby) are to close on Tuesday and road conditions are expected to be dangerous for all travel. City officials are asking all residents to shelter in place and keep off the roads. All our volunteer drivers are asked to be cautious and be aware of their local situation.
Our Ride program – Key information

PATIENTS can then complete our ON-LINE forms to request their RIDE. PLEASE give us at least 48 hours’ notice when requesting a ride. Requests made within 24 hours of pick up time are unlikely to be seen by our volunteers.
Patients/caregivers need to have these details ready – to fill the form. If using a mobile phone – try switching to horizontal.
WE NEED TO KNOW:
- Patient name, Email and mobile number
- Day/date of your travel ?
- Coming into the Medical Clinic area (inbound) or heading out (outbound) either to home or airport?
- If a LOCAL ride – your home address and zip code
- If an AIRPORT ride – which airport, Airline and Flight # ?
- Number of Passengers ?
- Medical Clinic location – your drop off or pick up location/address ? LOOK at the drop down choices – otherwise fill the “special” addrress boxes.
- Name(s) and mobile # of others travelers if possible ?
- Any special needs ?
Each rider must agree to the Liability Waiver to take a ride with our volunteer drivers. It is a condition of carraige and part of the online Request a Ride (Mission) form.

Each leg Inbound and Outbound from the Medical Clinic is a separate ride – we call them Missions.
Be reminded , the patient is required to complete a Request a Ride form – for both their INBOUND and OUTBOUND journey.

We take every precaution to protect the personal details of patient travelers and our volunteer drivers. Only key staff (system administrators and mission coordinators) can see Patients email or personal information as needed to perform their functions.
We do not sell or give away any patient or volunteer information.
